Fadal FG-5 Horizontal Turning Center
CNC Metal LathesFadal FG-5Horizontal Turning CenterMax. turning dia. and length: 5.3"/3.9"The Originator of the Classic Series CNC Lathes, the FG-5Fadal is back, and their new Horizontal Turning Center FG-5 is the smallest example of Fadal’s Classic series CNC lathe. This smaller example of these outstanding lathes is as equipped as its bigger brethren. Let’s start with the base of the lathe, where any miscalculation would affect the machines operation. The FG-5 has a mineral cast iron base that offers incredible rigidity. On top of that most stable platform, place linear bearings on the ways to provide exceptional rigidity, and accurate positioning. In addition to these benefits of the linear bearing ways, they are also simple to maintain and replace, making maintenance of this machine virtually non-existent.

Fadal determined that the capacity of this CNC horizontal turning center nicely fit an envelope of 5.3” max turning diameter with a 3.9” turning length. This lathe comes with the Fadal 64LP user-friendly CNC controller which is the same controller on all the bigger machines in this series. Just because it's small doesn’t mean accuracy is affected, however. The FG-5 delivers in the accuracy department with two-tenths positioning and one-tenth repeatability.Fadal’s FG-5 Classic Series user-friendly, horizontal turning centers produce quality parts at an affordable price. Because of their policy of offering a quality CNC machine tool at an aggressive price, more shops can easily afford to purchase a new machine. Fadal's rigid CNC lathes are designed for machine shops and tool rooms that require a dependable but affordable CNC lathe to increase their productivity. The FG-5 comes standard with the Fadal 64LP CNC controller and many other features and accessories which are standard equipment on their machines.Finding a Fadal Might Be Easier Than You Think! When it comes to the availability of Fadal machining centers, one powerful organization in the region has taken up the cause. Buds Machine Tools has committed their considerable muscle to take up the campaign on behalf of Fadal in four western states: Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming.
